We constantly strive to make a real difference for health professionals. Together, we further our commitment to improve care for people with Parkinson's disease (PD). The Parkinson's Foundation focuses on best-practice care training, providing the latest information and increasing access to free educational tools for doctors, nurses and care team members. We do this through our:
Allied Team Training for Parkinson's™
Our signature program teaches medical professionals from diverse disciplines the best techniques in Parkinson's care over an intensive three-day interactive curriculum. Learn more about upcoming opportunities at www.parkinson.org/ATTP.
Physical Therapy Faculty Program
We offer a training curriculum to teach physical therapy educators the latest in proven PD care techniques, who then teach their physical therapy students. Learn more here.
The Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program
We offer a training curriculum to teach nurse educators the latest in proven PD best practices, who then teach their nursing students. Learn more here.
We offer continuing education units through two educational webinar programs, the bi-monthly Expert Briefings program with presentations offered by leaders across the movement disorders community and through our quarterly Nurse Webinars, designed for and by scholars of The Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program.
We host multiple in-depth online training courses for occupational and physical therapists, speech and language pathologists, nurses and more.
The Parkinson's Foundation online clinician information and guidance toolkit provides evidence-based care to people with Parkinson's. Designed to give quick answers to common questions, the toolkit is a valuable guide to medications, symptoms and medical terms easily accessed from a computer or mobile device. iPhone and Android apps are also available.
