*runDisney events operate differently than other races. 
 

1.  How does it work?

A couple of weeks before the race, Parkinson’s Foundation staff will send all the information you’ll need to come out and cheer on our Parkinson’s Champions at any of the races you select.

2.  What will I do?

Each race is a little bit different. Check out our race opportunities schedule for specific information about each event. Most events will have a team party the day before the race that you’ll be invited to attend. All races will either have an official cheer spot for the group to meet up, where we will provide cheer supplies, or the option to order a custom cheer kit to be mailed to you.

3.  What can I expect from race day?

Most races start early in the morning on either a Saturday or Sunday. Depending on the race, spectators stand on the sidelines for two to four hours.

We recommend bringing a chair, water, and of course, your enthusiasm!

4.  Can I bring a group?

YES! The more the merrier! Let us know if you have a group who would like to come out and join us.

5.  What is a cheer captain?

We rely on volunteers to make our cheer zones the best they can be for our runners. Cheer captains are volunteers who take on a few extra responsibilities such as:

• Receiving a small shipment of supplies to take to the race (for example pom poms and noise makers)
• Arriving at the cheer spot early to set up and greet other cheer team members
• Making sure our spot is left neat (i.e. no trash on the ground)
