Parkinson’s Foundation Announces Fall 2025 Moving Day Walks

Kizik and BlueRock Therapeutics to support events in 20 cities as National Partners

NEW YORK & MIAMI (September 16, 2025) —Today, the Parkinson’s Foundation announced the fall 2025 event lineup for Moving Day, a Walk for Parkinson’s. Moving Day is the Foundation’s signature fundraising event that unites supporters to take action in the fight against Parkinson’s (PD). With the support of this year’s National Partners, Kizik and BlueRock Therapeutics, Moving Day will take place in 20 cities across the country this fall.

“We are proud to announce our fall season sites and event dates – a testament to our commitment to reach PD communities throughout the United States,” said Kayln Henkel, executive vice president and chief development officer of the Parkinson’s Foundation. “Moving Day is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together as teams and as individuals, collectively moving us closer to a cure.”

In addition to local events, the Foundation is also hosting Moving Day @ Home — a virtual walk experience that allows supporters to participate in Moving Day from anywhere in the country. The event welcomes walkers of all ages, speeds, and abilities, especially those without a nearby event.

"At Kizik, we believe in the power of movement – and that everyone is made to move," said Elizabeth Drori, Chief Marketing Officer at Kizik. "We're honored to partner with the Parkinson's Foundation—the nation's leading organization for those living with Parkinson's, their loved ones, and those working toward a cure —as a National Partner of Moving Day. Aligned with the Parkinson's Foundation's vision to make life better for people with Parkinson's, our hands-free shoes eliminate barriers and fuel independence. They're not just game-changing, they're life-changing."

"At BlueRock Therapeutics, we are driven to develop impactful new medicines that will help people living with Parkinson’s disease lead healthier lives," said Seth Ettenberg, Ph.D., President and CEO of BlueRock Therapeutics. "We have a shared commitment with the Parkinson’s Foundation to provide meaningful support to the Parkinson’s disease community and are proud to be a National Partner of Moving Day."

Since 2011, Moving Day has gathered more than 202,000 participants and raised more than $50.2 million to support the Foundation’s national mission of increasing access to quality care, advancing PD research toward a cure and providing free resources and local services for people living with PD and their families.

“Moving Day is much more than a fundraiser,” said John Poma, a member of the Foundation’s People with Parkinson’s Advisory Council and a Moving Day Indianapolis team captain. “Having a positive attitude is so important, and that is something the Parkinson’s Foundation offers. Through Moving Day, we can share the Foundation’s resources and help people live well with Parkinson’s.”

About Parkinson’s Disease
Affecting an estimated one million Americans, Parkinson’s disease is the second-most common neurodegenerative disease after Alzheimer’s and is the 14th-leading cause of death in the U.S. It is associated with a progressive loss of motor control (e.g., shaking or tremor at rest and lack of facial expression), as well as non-motor symptoms (e.g., depression and anxiety). There is no cure for Parkinson’s and nearly 90,000 new cases are diagnosed each year in the U.S.
