Mindfulness Mondays - Body Image Flexibility
As we age, for all of us, the natural aging process causes changes internally and externally that we cannot stop and often cannot slow to the degree that we may prefer. With added challenges such as chronic medical conditions, our sense of self, what we see when we look in the mirror, can become even more difficult to recognize.
Today’s practice, focuses on aspects of acceptance and commitment therapy to address this issue by adopting body image flexibility. We will practice the art of accepting the things we cannot change, to focus on the present, and make positive movement toward the things we can change.
Whether this is your first mindfulness Monday, or you are a returning participant, these sessions are created with the intention of including everyone. There will be time for questions following the practice.
