The Program Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of two key Foundation programs: the Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care program and the Community Grants program. Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care educates and equips care staff in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, inpatient rehabilitation centers, and home care/hospice agencies nationwide to provide optimal care for people living with Parkinson’s disease (PD). The Community Grant program provides funding for local organizations aimed at furthering the health, wellness, and education of people with Parkinson’s disease across the U.S.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care program, ensuring seamless partner engagement from initial inquiry through the duration of their partnership. Key responsibilities include partner communications, program administration, content management, and logistical coordination. The Program Coordinator will also be responsible for providing direct support for the Community Grant program. Key responsibilities include the management of volunteer engagement, grantee database management and tracking, and general program support. The Program Coordinator plays an important role by providing program support to the Senior Director of Professional Education and the Senior Program Grants Manager.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Point person for all partner and grantee engagement throughout program lifecycle (initial inquiry through program participation or grant selection and renewal).
  • Manage administrative support proactively to ensure efficient program operations including database updates.
  • Maintain and update all program-related marketing and educational materials.
  • Track and monitor partner and grantee requirements, including outcome measures, impact data, reports, and meetings.
  • Oversee content management, email communications, visualization and content uploads, and other updates on the Partner Portal.
  • Coordinate training and grantee sessions, webinars, one-on-one calls, and follow-ups, ensuring calendar accuracy.
  • Assist with management of program volunteers.
  • Support conference planning, including registrations and material shipments.
  • Serve as the primary contact for partner kit fulfillment, processing, and subsequent orders.
  • Aid in the processing of feedback for applicants who were not selected for funding.
  • Support the Senior Director and Senior Program Grants Manager with other projects as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between the Parkinson’s Foundation and external stakeholders, including the helpline, communications, community engagement, and the Global Care Network.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in program administration or project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong experience managing Zoom webinars and virtual events.
  • Grant database program experience, such as with ProposalCentral, a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses strong communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and work independently, as well as with others, in a collaborative, often fast-paced, team environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and the tenacity to see tasks through to completion in an accurate and thoughtful manner.
  • Resourcefulness and creativity in program planning and problem-solving.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to evolving program needs and priorities.

Compensation

Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000.
