 # Volunteer Social Media Toolkit

Using Social Media to Make an Impact

Social media is one of the most powerful ways to raise awareness about Parkinson's disease and connect people with trusted information and support. Every post you share has the potential to educate someone who has never heard about Parkinson's, encourage a newly diagnosed person or care partner to seek resources, or inspire others to get involved.

As a Parkinson's Foundation Ambassador, you are an important voice in your community. By sharing information with your friends, family, and followers, you're helping us reach more people living with Parkinson's and advancing our vision of a world without Parkinson's disease.

**This toolkit was created to make sharing easy.** Inside, you'll find ready-to-post graphics, sample captions, content ideas, and simple tips to help you confidently use social media to make an impact. Whether you're a seasoned social media user or posting for the first time, every share helps spread awareness and support the Parkinson's community.

Thank you for helping us educate, inspire, and make life better for people living with Parkinson's!

 ### 5 Tips for Posting on Social Media

1. **Be Authentic**:
Don't worry about being perfect! Every post helps raise awareness and connect more people with trusted Parkinson's resources. Unpolished content is often the most popular!
2. **Keep it Personal**
Share why you volunteer or why Parkinson's awareness matters to you.
3. **Keep it Simple**
Even a short caption and a graphic can help educate your network!
4. **Post Consistently**
Sharing one or two Parkinson's-related posts each month can make a big impact over time.
5. **Start Conversations**
Ask a question or encourage others to learn more, volunteer, or support the Parkinson's community.
