Research shows that Black adults with Parkinson’s disease are less likely to receive a diagnosis than their white peers, and if they do get one, they’re more likely to get it later in the disease process. This article shares the story of Richard Huckabee, a research advocate for the Parkinson’s Foundation, and the obstacles he faced in receiving a PD diagnosis.
