When I was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD) in July 2017, I looked up to the heavens and said, “God what are you doing?” I still don't know quite the answer yet, so I smile since there's nothing I can do about it.
I had PD long before I was diagnosed. I have discovered from my neurologist that exercise is a key for slowing the progressiveness down, so I exercise as much as I can when I can.
I've retired from commercial vehicle driving 43 years and I've started doing what I had planned on doing in retirement: hobby drawing, painting and playing music instruments. Here is a painting of my youngest daughter.
I have these encouraging words — keep fighting, don't give up, don't give in. There is a reason for everything in life. Don't lose your Hope and Faith, they will keep you humble.
