Ask the Expert: Parkinson’s Caregiving During COVID-19

Join us on Wednesday, June 3 at noon ET for an informational session about how to manage Parkinson’s disease (PD) caregiving challenges during COVID-19, featuring Jessica Shurer, MSW, LCSW.

Ms. Shurer is a master’s level clinical social worker and the Center Coordinator of the Parkinson’s Foundation Center of Excellence at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. At the Movement Disorders Center, Ms. Shurer assesses patient and family challenges around mood, coping and daily functioning, and provides resources, referrals and counseling. She also coordinates the specialty Interdisciplinary Parkinson’s clinic, facilitates local PD support groups and organizes educational and outreach programs for PD families and healthcare professionals.
