**SPARK NS**

Founded in 2023, SPARK NS is an independent non-profit translational research organization dedicated to efficiently advancing promising neuroscience discoveries from the lab to the clinic. SPARK NS offers two-year, immersive translational research programs that provide funding, education, mentorship, and networking opportunities to academic principal investigators (PIs) with promising therapeutic discoveries. The programs are designed to close gaps in knowledge and know-how and eliminate barriers that slow or prevent promising discoveries from directly benefiting patients.

  ### PD GENEration Referral Network

The PD GENEration Referral Network is a collaborative and dedicated group of organizations raising awareness about [PD GENEration](http://www.parkinson.org/pdgeneration), our international research study that provides genetic testing and genetic counseling at no cost for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The Referral Network is made up of both medical and non-medical organizations that work to connect interested, eligible participants to the PD GENEration study.

**The Referral Network:**

- Has a direct impact on Parkinson’s research. Their referrals contribute to the advancement of Parkinson’s genetic research.
- Serves as a valuable resource for their community. They help to support their community’s access to genetic testing and counseling.

**Network applicants may fall under the following categories:**

- **Referral Sites:** Medical centers, medical groups, or neurology offices.
- **Referral Partners:** Local non-profits and other organizations that operate programs for people with Parkinson’s such as therapy centers, support groups, exercise classes or other services.
