 The Parkinson’s Foundation has announced a record investment of more than $7.5 million across 55 research grants to support innovative studies aimed at improving the understanding, treatment and potential prevention of Parkinson’s disease. The new funding represents the foundation’s largest number of research awards in a single year.

 California will phase out paraquat after all manufacturers voluntarily canceled their registrations, ending the state’s use of the powerful herbicide that is already banned in more than 60 countries. State regulators found paraquat exposure may be tied to Parkinson’s disease.
