Description: Moving Day® is a collaborative effort of the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) and the National Parkinson Foundation Rochester Chapter. This event is a day of joining together and raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease. At our inaugural Moving Day walk last fall, over 400 participants, including people with Parkinson’s disease, family, friends, co-workers, healthcare providers, corporate leaders and corporate teams, joined together to exercise while raising funds in support of the Foundation’s mission.
In addition to a fundraising walk, this is a celebration of movement, with a special Movement Pavilion featuring various types of exercise including yoga, dance, and much more. The pavilion will be open when registration begins, through the end of the walk. For those who prefer not to walk, there will plenty of wonderful activities, entertainment and information to enjoy.
This year the walk will once again take place at the Monroe Community College Brighton Campus and our committee is hard at work to make this year's event even better!
It is 'A day to move, a day to move others, a day that moves YOU!'
