Description: The National Parkinson Foundation's Moving Day® is a fundraising event designed to create greater awareness – not just of movement, but of Parkinson’s disease itself, a movement disorder. In the past the National Parkinson Foundation Greater Rochester Chapter Canal Walk has been one of our biggest fundraising events. The Rochester Chapter anticipates more than 300 participants, which will include people with Parkinson’s disease, their families and friends, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders and corporate teams, will join together to raise funds in support of the Foundation’s mission. A unique feature of each Moving Day® event is the Movement Pavilion, which will include activities such as yoga, Tai Chi, dance and more. Participants concerned about completing the walk can still be moving as their teammates complete the route.
