Description: The National Parkinson Foundation is pleased to announce our first Chicago education event, “Mindfulness: Staying Connected with Parkinson’s”. Learn how to overcome depression through mindful awareness, use creative expression in your daily life and understand the importance of staying connected with others. Explore the concept of neuroplasticity, discover how to use games and puzzles to maintain a healthy brain and learn how occupational therapy can help people with Parkinson's disease stay active in daily life.
