Description: The National Parkinson Foundation’s Moving Day® is the National Parkinson Foundation Hawaii Chapter’s new annual fundraising walk event.
Moving Day® raises awareness of Parkinson’s both nationally and in the Honolulu community. Proceeds raised from the campaign go to support local services for people living with the disease and research leading to better treatments.
With Katie Couric as our national honorary chair, Moving Day® is the first grassroots campaign to spotlight Parkinson’s disease awareness on a national level. Studies show that movement is proven to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s, improving flexibility and mobility.
Moving Day® Hawaii is so much more than a fundraising walk, it is a celebration of movement with a special Movement Pavilion featuring opportunities for you to try activities such as yoga, dance, Tai Chi, and much more.
